Uncleared Immigration

In USA Today an article published on Feb. 24, 2017 named "Trump's quick deportation plan may be illegal, past immigration chiefs say" written by Alan Gomez states an argument of immigration deportation. In the article Alan says, "It's unclear how many people could be deported immediately under Trump's plan." He implies that the rapid deportation that is going on right now in our society is unsettled. However, the deportation is clear in other articles that I found. The deportation that is going on right now is done by ICE. It is mentioned in an article from Los Angeles Times named "ICE says L.A. immigration arrests were planned long in advance, not tied to new crackdown" which was written on Feb. 10th 2017 by James Queally. He states, " The arrests, which officials have described as routine and not part of a crackdown promised by President Trump, have sparked fear and anger in immigrant communities." His statement proves that Trump did not have nothing to do with the immigration arrests but it is clear that the ICE is responsible for it. Alan published his article on Feb 24th 2017, stating that deportation was unclear, while there was an article published on Feb 10th 2017 by James that stated what was going on with the deportations. In conclusion, Alan the reporter for USA Today argued about the unclear deportations under trumps plan although James the reporter from Los Angeles Times clearly stated that Immigration and Customs Enforcement were the reason for the arrests/deportations.

An unwakeable nightmare

On Friday, February 10th, 2017 the Los Angeles Times published an article named ICE says L.A. immigration arrests were planned long in advance, not tied to new crackdown. In this article James Queally describes what is going on in Los Angeles, California. Furthermore, this article is worth reading because it talks about how all of these arrest going on right now weren't because of President Donald Trump. The ICE was planing these arrest even before trump took office. Immigrants are afraid of getting arrested. However, a director of Enforcement and Removal Operations said that the people getting arrested have criminal background. In the other hand, a young woman almost lost her father because of these arrest. The father did not have any criminal background. In Los Angeles the fears of the Trump administration has stoked among immigrant communities throughout the state.
